Found fallen one afternoon in a semi deteriorated condition, I’m struck by how fragile its partial skeletal state is but also curious as to how intact it has remained so, I bring it home to explore the possibilities. Not wanting to damage the form its submerged in a round vase filled with water to unfurl the body of the leaf exposing its translucent web like structure. Using photography as a means of capturing the leaf mid-transition, the water acts as a non-invasive force revealing its intricacies & highlights the endurance of this folium as it continues to disintegrate
